Sainath
Krishnamurthy.

Designer & technologist in Houston.

I follow questions between physical objects, digital tools, and the human experiences that give them meaning.

One question
leads to another.

Interests become questions. Questions become objects, tools, and essays. Here’s the thread that runs through my practice.

What if a message
could be felt?

An interface is also a relationship. I’m interested in the meanings we give objects, the language we use with AI, and how technology is experienced through the body. Opus brings those questions into ongoing research on touch and digital emotion.

An idea about emotion becomes something tangible.

What about everyday life?

The everyday
deserves attention.

The questions return to ordinary life: how we store food, the materials we live with, and our relationship with the things we need. Mittee explores terra cotta and produce storage. My writing carries that curiosity toward land, family, and self-sufficiency.

A material becomes a different kind of everyday care.

This is what I’m building OpusLABS around: tools and solutions for human needs and creativity.

The OpusLABS vision

Currently,
Protobench.

A workspace for people making physical things.

Protobench is the primary startup and product I’m building within OpusLABS. It brings editable CAD, circuit boards, and an AI collaborator into one hardware-design workspace.

Questions
into practice.

Industrial design is where I started. Today, I move between research, physical making, interfaces, and code. The question helps me choose the medium.

More about my background

Product & interaction.

I work from a human need toward a clear product direction, then through the flows, interfaces, and small interactions that make it usable.

Objects & materials.

Sketches, CAD, material exploration, and physical prototypes give an idea enough form to ask better questions about its use.

Industrial design · CAD · Prototyping

Code & creative tools.

I build interfaces and experiments that let me work directly with an idea, from creative coding to AI-assisted hardware design.

Frontend development · Creative coding · AI tools

Research & reflection.

I’m interested in how technology is felt and understood. Writing helps me examine the assumptions inside the things I make.

The thinking
keeps moving.

Some questions become projects. Others need the room of an essay. I write to notice, reflect, and work out what to make next.
